Description
The GY-SHT35-D is a compact, high-precision digital temperature and humidity sensor breakout board built around Sensirion’s SHT35 sensor, the high-end variant in the SHT3x family. It provides fully calibrated, linearized, and temperature-compensated digital output over a standard I2C interface, making it the ideal choice for demanding environmental monitoring applications where precision is critical.
At the heart of the module is the SHT35 sensor, which delivers ±1.5% RH typical humidity accuracy and ±0.1°C typical temperature accuracy . The measurement range covers 0–100% RH and -40°C to +125°C, with 16-bit resolution (0.01% RH and 0.01°C) . The sensor is factory-calibrated, eliminating the need for external trimming.
The module operates from a wide supply voltage range. The SHT35 chip itself supports 2.15V to 5.5V, and most GY-SHT35-D breakout boards accept both 3.3V and 5V supplies . The I2C interface supports communication speeds up to 1MHz, and the module includes onboard pull-up resistors for stable operation.
The default I2C address is 0x45, configurable to 0x44 via the ADR pin, allowing two sensors to share the same bus . The board also supports an alert mode with programmable temperature/humidity threshold limits.
Important Note: The SHT35 provides ±1.5% RH accuracy, which is superior to the SHT30 (±3%) and SHT31 (±2%) variants. Verify your specific breakout board’s voltage rating, as some variants include onboard regulation for 5V compatibility. The sensor is not waterproof and should be kept dry.
