Description

The ZP10010 is a compact vertical-mount float switch designed for liquid level detection and control in small tanks, aquariums, water dispensers, and household appliances. It operates on a passive magnetic reed principle: a magnetic float moves vertically along the stem as liquid level changes, actuating a sealed reed switch inside the tube to open or close a circuit. The switch requires no external power for the sensing element—it is a dry contact device that simply makes or breaks a connection when the float reaches its actuation point.

The PP (polypropylene) construction is food-grade and provides resistance to water and weak chemical environments, making it suitable for potable water and light industrial applications. With a contact rating of 10W and a switching current of 0.5A, this switch is intended for low-power control circuits—it should drive a relay or PLC input rather than a pump or motor directly. Suppliers explicitly warn that the switch cannot directly control solenoid valves, high-output relays, or AC contactors; a small relay is required for such loads. The float orientation can be manually adjusted to convert between Normally Closed (NC) and Normally Open (NO) operation; the factory default is NC when mounted with the float hanging downward.

Critical limitations: This is a passive switch, not a continuous level transmitter. The contact rating is limited to 0.5A—do not connect pumps, solenoids, or motors directly without a relay or contactor. The PP body is not suitable for oils, strong solvents, or concentrated acids, and the liquid must not contain ferrous powder, which can interfere with the magnetic float.
