The HS1101LF is a lead-free, capacitive relative humidity sensor from TE Connectivity (MEAS) designed for high-volume, cost-sensitive applications where reliability and long-term stability are essential. Based on a patented solid polymer structure, the sensor functions as a variable capacitor whose capacitance changes proportionally with relative humidity, making it suitable for both linear voltage and frequency output circuitry .

The sensor operates across a humidity range of 0% to 100% RH, with a nominal capacitance of 180 pF at 55% RH (typical range 177–183 pF) and an average sensitivity of 0.31 pF/%RH . Its temperature coefficient is extremely low at -0.01 pF/°C, ensuring stable readings across temperature variations . For best measurement reproducibility, pin 2 (the case) should be connected to circuit ground . The sensor is not designed for full submersion, though its construction provides resistance to dust and condensation.
