The XH-W3001 12V Digital LED Temperature Controller is a self-contained, high-performance thermostat designed for seamless integration into temperature-controlled environments. Unlike modular PCB controllers, the W3001 features a durable, pre-enclosed housing with integrated mounting ears, making it an ideal “all-in-one” solution for both industrial equipment and consumer appliances.
This controller is specifically engineered for reliability in high-demand applications such as poultry incubators, seedling heat mats, industrial control cabinets, and automotive cooling systems. With its intuitive two-button interface and high-brightness LED display, users can achieve precise thermal regulation without the need for complex programming or external housing.
Key Features
  • Ready-to-Install Design: The fully enclosed ABS flame-retardant housing protects the internal circuitry from dust and physical damage.
  • Simple Two-Button Operation: Dedicated “Start” and “Stop” buttons allow for rapid threshold adjustments without navigating deep menus.
  • High-Load Capacity: Equipped with a heavy-duty relay capable of handling up to 10A (120W at 12V), suitable for direct control of heaters and fans.
  • Waterproof NTC 10K Probe: Includes a 1-meter stainless steel waterproof sensor, providing flexibility for placement in liquid tanks or humid incubation chambers.
  • Dual Mode Flexibility: Operates in Heating mode (Start Temp < Stop Temp) or Cooling mode (Start Temp > Stop Temp) automatically based on user settings.
  • Power-Fail Memory: Internal storage ensures that all temperature thresholds are retained even if the 12V power supply is disconnected.
Usage Guidelines
  1. Wiring:
    • Connect the Red (+) and Black (-) wires to your 12V DC power source.
    • Connect the Yellow (+) and Black (-) wires to your load (Heater, Fan, or Pump).
  2. Setting the Start Temperature: Press and hold the Up (▲) button until the display flashes. Use the Up/Down buttons to set the temperature at which the device should turn ON.
  3. Setting the Stop Temperature: Press and hold the Down (▼) button until the display flashes. Use the Up/Down buttons to set the temperature at which the device should turn OFF.
  4. Mode Logic:
    • Heating Mode: Set the Start Temp lower than the Stop Temp (e.g., Start at 37°C, Stop at 38°C).
    • Cooling Mode: Set the Start Temp higher than the Stop Temp (e.g., Start at 30°C, Stop at 25°C).
Q: Can I use this to control a 220V AC heater?

No, this specific model is the 12V DC version. Both the input power and the output voltage are 12V. For 220V equipment, you must use the 220V version of the XH-W3001 or use an external relay.

Q: Is the probe safe for use in saltwater or corrosive chemicals?

The probe is stainless steel and waterproof, making it suitable for fresh water and standard humidity. For saltwater or harsh chemicals, we recommend encasing the probe in a plastic thermowell to prevent long-term corrosion.

Q: How do I reset the device to factory defaults?

While the device is powered on, press and hold both the Up (▲) and Down (▼) buttons simultaneously until the display shows “888”. The device will then return to the default settings (Start 25°C / Stop 40°C).

Q: The display shows "LLL" or "HHH". What does this mean?
“LLL” indicates the sensor is disconnected or the temperature is below -50°C. “HHH” indicates a sensor short circuit or the temperature has exceeded 110°C.
Q: Is this suitable for commercial incubator production?

Yes. Business purchasers prefer the XH-W3001 because its integrated housing reduces assembly time and eliminates the need for separate panel mounting, significantly lowering production costs for scaled-up manufacturing.

Q: Can I extend the sensor wire?

Yes, the 1-meter lead can be extended with standard two-core wire. However, if extended beyond 10 meters, you may need to calibrate for resistance changes (though the W3001 is highly stable over moderate distances).
